Maximum usability, minimum complexity: iDrive simplifies the control of the 7 Series' many driving and cabin comfort features. Often-used features - windscreen-wipers, indicators, radio and telephone for example - are controlled using levers or keys on or around the steering wheel. Secondary functions - the address book, the navigation system or BMW TeleAssist - are accessed via the iDrive Controller on the central console, with menus and information displayed clearly on the Control Display.
In its design, the BMW 7 Series reflects the enhanced, even more sophisticated substance of the car from every perspective. Focusing on the higher level of sporting and dynamic performance provided by the new engines, BMW's designers and stylists sought above all to emphasise this superior performance through appropriate details at the front end, the rear and the side of the car.
